BEELD EN GELUID EXPERIENCE

The institute Beeld en Geluid in Hilversum has opened its doors to reveal the biggest secret of media. How it affects your life…and how you affect the media. Redrum produced over 150 clips and worked on this project for five years. The clips are the backbone of a whole bunch of interactives to discover the secrets of media. The best part is: this experience knows who you are so everything you see is tailored to your profile. Edit your own movie-trailer, become a journalist and interview famous people. Be a news-editor with a tight deadline and build your own games. You will experience this through more than 50 interactives on making news, connecting, buying, selling and playing. A unique installation of no less than 300 metres of LED screens throughout the museum.

Sound & Vision manages one of the largest digitized media archives in the world. Media are omnipresent and everyone lives in their own media space. This year we have reopened our completely new, state of the art Media Museum. In the Media Museum, visitors can experience how media have now become part of your everyday life, and how this came about. With a brand new media design, by using techniques like facial recognition, motion tracking and projection mapping and by offering personalized content through intelligent visitor’s databases, the brand new Media museum embraces and questions these techniques to offer visitors insights on their media use. We are very proud to have won an AVICOM Award with this.
