NATURALIS

Triceratops horridus: this giant herbivore is an icon of the dino era. And extremely rare, too; only a handful of skeletons are on display worldwide. Naturalis presents a blockbuster exhibition on Triceratops, a herd even. After more than a decade of excavation, preparation and research, the five dinos are now on display together for the first time. The exhibition can be visited through Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025 before it travels the world.

Nowhere else but at Naturalis in Leiden will you stand face to face with five triceratops, the dinosaur known for its large collar and three horns. Step into the world of the enormous herbivore and meet the herd! Admire the fantastic skeletons and then dive into all the games and interactives.... Collect as much food as Triceratops ate per day, find out what a Triceratops fart sounded (and smelled like!) and how many teeth they changed in their lifetime. Crawl into a triceratops egg and find out how a triceratops baby grew, and resist with your herd the attack of Triceratops greatest enemy: T-Rex.
