Protect the Wonders of the Deep Sea
Redrum partnered with Greenpeace Netherlands to visualise a world most of us have never seen and might never get the chance to. For the immersive short film Protect the Wonders of the Deep Sea, we created all visuals and animations, bringing the mysterious depths of the ocean to life in stunning detail.

The film, which premiered at Fabrique des Lumières in Amsterdam, is now shown alongside The Sea, Dive into the Magical Deep. At the heart of the story is MILA, a small underwater robot who takes viewers on a magical journey to over 200 meters below the surface. In this dark and glowing world, we encounter bioluminescent jellyfish, anglerfish, and dumbo octopuses. But this wonder is not without danger: deep-sea mining now threatens to destroy this fragile ecosystem before we even begin to understand it.

Over 80% of our oceans remain unexplored. With this film, we hope to spark curiosity, awe, and above all, the will to protect. Because as Greenpeace puts it: “If you don’t know something, you can’t love it. And if you love something, you’ll want to protect it.”

We’re incredibly proud of our team and collaborators who brought this film to life with such care and urgency, on a tight timeline and with a shared passion for storytelling with impact.
